Permanent Mold Gravity Die Casting

Permanent mold casting is typically used for high-volume production of simple metal parts with uniform wall thickness. The minimum wall thickness that can be permanent mold cast is approximately 4 mm because of the limited ability of metal to run into thin sections.

High Pressure Die Casting

The process is capable of turning molten metal into a solid near-net-shape part in seconds. The three main metal groups used with this die casting process are aluminum, zinc, and magnesium.
